Licorice extract Glycyrrhizic acid is an organic compound with the molecular formula C42H62O16, which is used as a drug with anti-inflammatory and anti-metabolic effects; as a sweetener, it is widely used in all kinds of food.
Function ofLicorice Extract
It has a special sweetness, and its sweetness is about 250 times that of granulated sugar. The sodium salt of glycyrrhizic acid extracted from licorice has a sweet taste even when diluted 4000 times in aqueous solution. It can be used with sugar, glucose, sugar dilution and other natural sugars or with saccharin, glycine, propylene glycol, etc. to obtain a more delicious sweetness.
The whitening effect of licorice extract is mainly through inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase and dopa pigment interchangease (TRP-2) and hindering the polymerization of 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHl) as a way to prevent the formation of melanin, thus achieving the effect of skin whitening.
Liquorice extract absorbs high-energy UV molecules, leaps from the ground state to the activated state, and then returns from the activated state to the ground state, releasing harmless low-energy rays. Q4: How to make sure the quality of the product?
A: Firstly, every batch finish product must be tested and qualified before delivery. We can send a specification sheet or CoA for confirmation. The HPLC chromatography graph also can be provided. Secondly, we can provide pre-ship sample to customer for quality confirmation.
