Temperature is the main factor limiting the distribution and growth and development of kiwifruit, and each species has a suitable temperature range beyond which it grows poorly or cannot survive. Most species of Kiwifruit require a warm and humid climate, i.e. subtropical or temperate humid semi-humid climate, mainly in the vast area between 18 and 34 degrees north latitude, with an annual average temperature of about 11.3-16.9°C, an extreme maximum of 42.6°C and an extreme minimum of about a 20.3°C, an effective cumulative temperature above 10°C of 4500-5200°C and a frost-free period of 160-270 days.
The temperature requirements of Kiwifruit are also not very consistent among populations, for example, the Chinese Kiwifruit grows and develops well at an average annual temperature of between 4 and 20°C, while the delicious Kiwifruit is most widely distributed in the range of 13 to 18°C. The growth and development stages of Kiwifruit are also affected by temperature. Some studies have shown that the young buds of delicious Kiwifruit start to bud when the temperature rises to about 10°C, flowering only when it is above 15°C and fruiting only when it is above 20°C. When the temperature drops to about 12°C, it enters a deciduous dormant period, and the whole development process takes about 210-240 days, during which the daily temperature cannot fall below 10-12°C.

The Kiwifruit is water-demanding and water-logged, a fruit tree with weak physiological drought tolerance and weak humidity tolerance, and therefore has strict requirements for soil moisture and air humidity, determining that it is best cultivated in areas with abundant and evenly distributed rainfall, high air humidity, and moist but not waterlogged areas. The natural distribution area of the Kiwi fruit in China has an annual precipitation of 800 mm to 2200 mm and a relative air humidity of 74.3% to 85%. Generally speaking, any area with an annual precipitation of 1000 mm to 2000 mm and an air relative humidity of about 80% can meet the moisture requirements for the growth and development of Kiwi fruit. If the average annual precipitation is 500 mm, it is necessary to consider setting up irrigation facilities for irrigation in case of drought. High mountain areas with more fog, moist soil on both sides of streams and high humidity all year round are ideal for Kiwi fruit growth. In the central and eastern regions there is plenty of rain from April to June and the branch tips grow in large quantities, which is suitable for Kiwi fruit growth requirements.
The drought resistance of Kiwi fruit is poorer than that of ordinary fruit trees. Kiwi fruit leaves are large and dense, transpiration is high, and water demand is high; it is estimated that an adult Kiwi fruit tree with a crown area of 25 square meters loses more than 75 liters of water per day by transpiration. Generally, when the soil water content is reduced to 5% a 6%, resulting in insufficient water, causing the growth of Kiwifruit branch tips to be stunted, their leaves begin to suffer from drought, the leaves droop and become smaller and the leaf margins wither. During drought, the leaves begin to dry out, at which point they must be irrigated or sprayed promptly, especially during the seedling stage, when the root system has not yet fully developed and needs to be supplemented with sufficient water. In addition to not being drought-resistant, Kiwifruit is also afraid of flooding, with about 40% of the plants dying when there is poor drainage or waterlogging for 2 to 3 days.

A: The extract is a concentrated powder form of raw material. The herb extract's procedure flow is wash, extraction, concentration, purification, drying, grinding, sieving, package. The herb powder is just a powder form of the herb. The procedure flow is wash, drying, grinding, sieving, package.

Q2: What's the extract solvent used in the procedure?
A: The extract solvent is always depending on the active ingredient in the raw material, regulation and customers' requirement. The solvents mostly used for extraction are water and ethanol. Even the solvent other than water used in the procedure, the solvent residue in the extract product also can conform with ICH Q3CR5.

Q3: Is there any other ingredient used in the product?
A: It depends. For product which is hard to be dried, we need to add some maltodextrin into the extraction solution before drying. The maltodextrin we used is food-class carrier, from non-GMO corn. We can share customer with the ingredient composition table.

Q4: How to make sure the quality of the product?
A: Firstly, every batch finish product must be tested and qualified before delivery. We can send a specification sheet or CoA for confirmation. The HPLC chromatography graph also can be provided. Secondly, we can provide pre-ship sample to customer for quality confirmation. 

Q5: Can you develop a new product for us?
