Polygonatum sibiricum Delar. ex Redoute, a perennial herb of the genus Polygonatum in the family Asparagaceae, with root-like stems; nodes expanded, with one thick and one thin internode, and short branches at the thick end; It is also known as chicken-head ginseng, sacred silk yellow essence, yucca yellow essence, ginger-shaped yellow essence, chicken-head yellow essence, wild immortal ginger, mountain ginger, deer bamboo, immortal remaining food, and wilderness-saving herb.
